She played similar character in "25th Hour".

I have just watched "25th Hour" (2002) for the first time. Better late than never.

It struck me that Anna Paquin played almost the same character in both films. Obviously she had a bigger role in "Margaret" so there was more detail and shading. but I am sure she based it on her earlier role.

She looked near enough the same too, which baffled me as there were nine years between the release dates. Then I found the release of "Margaret" had been delayed for five years which largely solved that.

I have never seen "The Piano" and I had not noticed her in three other small roles. My question is - did she closely model her character in "Margaret" on her part in "25th Hour" or is she usually like that?
