AND the Judge gives it a...

80/100 overall

Silicone factor - 100
Collagen injected lips factor - 100
"Size ZERO female forms" factor - 100

Opening "cheese" factor - 90

Dogma and metaphor factor - 50

Karma, or "how I found the answer to the great 'cosmic question' " factor - 90

CHILL factor - 90

CREEP factor - 90

"STUPID A**HOLE DRINKING, DRUGGING, RAPIST FRATBOY" factor - pegged it and buried the needle - 100 (*so sorry the stereotype was perpetuated upon Fratboys)

The Souleaters were good; the idea of "sanctuary" was good, the concept of a limited amount of time to figure stuff out before your soul just dissipates (or gets 'dissipated FOR you') was pretty good too.

IMO: It kind of corresponds to Life itself, perhaps.

I think good things can happen for Monica Keena and David Anders in future. They managed to pull off the "sorta cheesey, yet philosophical" roles quite well. I'd love to see them in other roles - kind of a "doogie howser" (Neil Patrick) meets a Cameron Diaz romantic comedy.... ( ? )

The ambiguity of the ending was *sigh* "...just riiiight..." because what you THINK is the ending, ISN'T the ending and, therefore all the more puzzling.

No REAL "spoonfed" answers here, folks!

and I agree. I just watched it and was very pleasantly surprised. I thought Keena and Anders gave solid performances. It was really more of a suspense horror than a slasher/gore horror. Maybe that's why I liked it.... it actually had a decent story line. imo. altho', yeah, the ending was a bit ambiguous.... guess you could make of it what you want.
anyway, a thumbs up.
