So I watched this movie and it was all right.
I could totally see it as a young adult novel though :P
I have one question about the end however. At the end when her firned was using the ouija board, was celia now in the same line of work as her invisble friend" had been in with her.
I just got a creepy vibe from the way she looked and thought, well that blew away the happy ending I thought already happened.
The look on her face gave me the same impression as well! She looked completely evil and the message "When you die, I'll come for you. Celia" just left me thinking "ok she is gonna rip her to shreds". She was sitting in the light as if she was Heaven sent though and meant to guide her, but her facial expression was pure evil IMO!
Another thought I had was that it wasn't Celia sitting in that chair. Celia is in Heaven now supposedly. And there at the end Donovan made it a point to say "this is my house." Maybe that was him sitting there preparing Celia's friend for his next meal. Since he said that the Soul Eaters can steal your thoughts and such. He did eat some of her before her granddad knocked him away.
I tend to believe that it was Donovan simply because of the message sent letting the people in the house know where to find her body. Donovan saw that and said "interesting" or something to that affect. The message was also signed "Celia". And earlier in the movie, Celia had sent her friend a message and signed it "C", not her full name. Donovan didn't know that and signed the full name to the message.
