The way Ant getting robbed was handled

I thought that part was kind of weak.
He stood around super late until a group rolled up on him to jack him.
Then he walks around town not sure what to do and tries to call his brother and then just goes to the liquor store to drink a big ass carton of chocolate milk (how'd he have money for the milk? Maybe he should've kept his drug money in the same place as his milk money).

Then when Marcus shows up he just tells him he'll get it back and Marcus is ready to shoot him. And as other's have said, Marcus only shoots Ant once which seems unrealistic.

I would think that Marcus would probably try to school Ant a little bit about drug-dealing... maybe told him to carry protection, be aware of jackers, etc.

But that not happening isn't a big deal. What I don't get is WHY does Ant not try to explain to Marcus that he got jacked? When he made a call, I thought it was to tell Marcus - but he was calling his brother. Then when Marcus finds him, Ant just stands there looking dumb and suspicious with a milk-moustache. Even when he says he'll get it back, he doesn't bother to say "Hey, I got jacked by x amount of dudes in a black Mercedes".

Some of it can be chalked up to Ant being an inexperienced kid who knows nothing about dealing drugs. But his not at least attempting to explain to Marcus when he's scared for his life that he didn't steal his money, along with only Ant getting shot once, were kind of plotholes I think.

Storywise, the shooting still could have happened after Ant stated that he got robbed and Marcus didn't believe him or told him he was responsible, but in that case still, Marcus was too quick to shoot and I think he'd at least entertian the possibility that Ant was telling the truth and investigate the story a little more.

Marcus had already schooled the young boy after he got arrested so he already owed him money. The night he got robbed Marcus was already frustrated waiting on his $2000

Drug dealing is a hardcore occupation. When,a dealer wants his end of money owed, no if, ands, or buts. Excuses are invalid to a dealer. He was not interested in why Ant didn't have the money. He was not going to sit and listen to what happened. The drug game doesn't work on excuses and sob stories, they want their money, that's the only thing relevant to them. Hardcore game.

I think Marcus set up the robbery just so he could have an excuse to shoot Ant.
