British Contingent

Why are the talented British comics (and Graham Norton) given so little to do? Relegating David Mitchell, Phil Cornwell and MacKenzie Crook to cameos seems odd, to say the least. Maybe it was Tracy Ullman's idea.

You do understand that the script and therefore the parts were written LONG before it was decided who was to play those parts yes?

You do get the way it works surely?

They weren't relegated to cameos (that would imply the script came after the casting) they were simply cast in cameo roles.

Looks like they shot a lot of the film in the UK and picked up a very British cast in lots of small roles - also, this film is a few years old now and lots of these folks have since established high profile careers.
