Michelle Pfeiffer/Paul Rudd= no match - see why

Someone like George Clooney fits perfectly!
Paul Rudd is funny and everything, but he made a nice couple with Alicia Silverstone. But Michelle needs a MAN, a REAL MAN! Like George! That's why i felt no chemistry in this movie, but in One Fine Day I did.. throughout the whole movie there WAS something between these two actors. Michelle is to dominant, too much woman for a guy like Paul...

Sorry, they had awesome chemistry.

reply

Michelle had much more chemistry with Paul than she did with George in One Fine Day.

What we have here is failure to communicate!

reply

I agree with forever the chemistry was definitely there. Unlike One Fine Day this movie was meant to bring a older woman and a younger man together and this movie did so beautifully.

reply

Isn't that part of the point of the storyline? The dichotomy of the May/December romance, esp. when the woman is the older person. Maybe she and Clooney had chemistry, but he would have been miscast in this movie.

What I didn't like about this movie is that I was supposed to believe that Michelle Pfeiffer was only 40 and Paul Rudd was in his 20s.

reply

What the hell? Haha the movie wouldn't have had the same plot if George Clooney played the love interest. He's suppose to appear to be a lot younger than her.

I believe Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd as a couple, more than I believe Jon Lovitz and Michelle Pfeiffer as a couple?

 Incongruous, to say the least.

Do the P-I-G-E-O-N

I agree with OP - Paul Rudd not the right choice for an A-Star and type of woman like Michelle Pfeiffer

Sorry, this is a story about a match that does *not* work out. I guess the poster missed the point.
