Read the book

I read the book "Hidden Places" about a year ago and it was fantastic. So much better than the movie that just aired on the Hallmark channel. I liked the movie because of Shirley Jones and Sidney Penny. They were amazing. But the book went into so much more detail and back-story about the characters. You just can't do that in a movie. The plot in the book was more expanded and had more twists and turns. So to everyone who liked the movie, I say read the book and you'll be happy you did.

I really agree with ya the movie was okay but the book was top shelf. told much much more about the characters and about the mysterious Gabe Harper which the movie neglected

Captian Hook:If I were you, I'd give up
Peter Pan: If you were me I'd be ugly!

Can someone name a movie that was better than the book. It goes without saying that the book will be more detailed. In Sweden we have an author called Henning Mankell (many of his books are translated to English), THe main character is a detective called Wallender. There have been made umpteen movies of his novels but reading the books is a wonderful experience (whether you like the genre or not). This is a prime example of books beating movies in enjoyment. I wish I could shout from the rooftops about this author as Grisham is an amateur in comparison. Sorry, this has litle to do with Hidden Places but I couldn't resist the opportunity to tout Henning Mankell.
