The movie is very different from the book

i agree i loved the book and love the movie!its funny coz i had a major problem with the ending of the novel -i thought kate was a bit well souless- but due to the tweaks and changes in the charcter in the movie the ending works much better.they compliment each other perfectly.

the only thing i would have liked to see though-i think a review said it so im basically copying -was all the good points hallam makes about viewing the world from his treehouse and roof and stuff. i mean they do patronise his isolation a bit by just labelling him 'troubled'.like theres no justification wanting to isolate urself from society! in the novel it was actually a let down when hallam came down from the rooftops and started living normally.it just didnt feel like -oh i dont know -that it was an entirely positive thing.
