Is this a weed movie or a pro-interracial dating-propaganda piece?

The white character and his brother seem interested in Black women almost exclusively . All the Black male characters seem to be interested in white females exclusively. What is the point? It would be nice to watch a comedy about weed-heads without having to deal with a racial agenda that may offend some, shoved in your face in nearly every scene.

I smell a white liberal.....reminiscent of my dog when he comes in out of the rain! JUST KIDDING! But seriously, opposition to interracial dating is not the same thing as racism, and I'm not even opposed to it in all cases. But a movie starring a white guy and a black guy, and the white guy always has a black girl and the black guy always has a white girl....I don't think one has to purposely look for it, I think its being shoved in one's face. Or are you one of those people who "doesn't see color" lol ?

Yeah pretty unbelieveable that a white guy could find lots of black girls willing to date him, unless he's paying...

Why can't they just be seen as folks who are sexually active, regardless of race?
As if someone showing an interest in a person of another race warrants an "agenda".

Wake up...it's 2006 not 1806.

reply

Because she is my girlfriend and she is black. I must also hate white people because I said I was white.

hahahahahaa

i didnt realise calling black people black was racist now. maybe "pigmentally challenged" would be more pc? i think not

anyway i watched the movie and didnt catch the interracial thing at all, probably because its a stupid point to make

"pigmentally challenged"! lol. Blacks have more pigment than whites, so they would not be the ones to be called "pigmentally challenged", if that was a word.

The guy had to mention his girlfriend's race to prove a point.

stop defending yourself...you sound stupid. Go analyze a complex movie like The Departed. This movie cant possibly have any agenda or be trying to teach you a lesson.

Actually - Larry not only unknowingly liked the black shemale, but he also had sex with an overweight white chick - So it goes to show that the Characters were just sexually active Characters - Had nothing to do with race.

And the shemale was the only Black female in the movie, except for those extras in bikini.

What a ridiculous thread. The only way you can draw sh*t from this movie like the OP did is to be looking for it. There's only one f-ing black woman in this movie anyway, and it's a trannie.

Well - not having a raciest ounce of blood in my body - I hardly noticed.

I did notice the interracial relationship between Big Daddy and Elise, but as far as Larry and his brother liking black women and Rico liking white women - I think it's just a matter of those guys liking sexy women regardless of color (of course one of them ended up being a man, but that's besides the point) - whether the women is black or white - sexy is sexy.

It's only a racial agenda if you are a raciest. -

It's 2008 already and people are still overly, and unnecessarily concerned with Black and White - GET OVER IT! - Why stress yourself out with it?

But, ultimately - I think the idea was to just be real - I mean I know guys like Larry and Rico and they like women, regardless of race.
