Showtime is airing this!

I just finished watching this on Channel 353/SHOTe. I am extremely impressed with the film and definitely want to watch it again. I think all of the performances are admirable, and I don't think that the predictability does it any harm. We're accustomed to analyzing films and guesstimating what is to come, but that doesn't mean that the story is ruined every time. It has enough horrific moments to take this beyond a simple thriller and will join that subgenre of films dealing with amnesia quite neatly.

It's scheduled at these times:
* From 10:05 to 11:30 p.m. Central on Tuesday on 355/SHOCe.
* From 1:30 to 3 a.m. Central on Thursday on 351/SHOe.

If I had to pick a performance I didn't really enjoy, it'd be Grunberg's... I thought it'd be interesting to see him in this kind of role but he didn't really deliver in it. The whole time I kept wondering what the film would have been like if they'd put Diamond in his role and Grunberg in Diamond's role.

I guess I thought he was creepy because he looked so unexpected. Actually, besides spurning his wife, his at-home behavior was nothing like you would expect. Diamond would have been far too obvious I think, as he has that Jeffrey Dahmer quality~at least to me. I'm not that familiar with Grunberg, so I thought it was a good stretch from his cop character. I actually thought he was pretty scary in the cabin scene, donning the apron and brandishing the blade and the sandwich. I was reminded of Terry O'Quinn in "The Stepfather" 1 & 2. He looked like a regular guy, but barely scatch the surface, and he's off the deep end.

The casting worked for me, as I find myself still thinking about the film and wanting to watch it again.
