Too right, I found it an embarrassment that this dirge actually hailed from the UK. Ant and Dec should just stick to entertaining little old women on their TV show instead of repeating this humiliation.

it wasn't that bad!

reply

i enjoyed it, but i have been a fan of ant and decs for about six or seven years, and have enjoyed everything they have done

reply

ditto, theyve never been funny,
but you missed out the tv shows for 8 year olds.
they think theyre morcambe and wise and someone needs to sack them.

reply

Same here, I live in England and I found this to be tiresome. Not a single laugh worthy event in the whole film. In fact it made me ashamed to be english, I really hope that Geordie land becomes part of Scotland if they're going to continue producing this kind of rubbish.

English humour? England isn't the only country in Britain..

Just finished watching this, i didn't think it was a world beater but it was pretty good, intresting story, some subtle humour and i have to say the acting was pretty good for me to not see Ant and Dec as themselves but their characters. If your from the UK and have ever switched on the TV on a Saturday evening at some point those two *beep* will be on it.

I really can't stand Ant and Dec, but i enjoyed this. It isn't the kind of movie your suppost to laugh at until you crap your kidneys, the plot is the main focus of this film.

I am a big fan of Ant and Dec, have been for a long time, since they did CDUK. So to me this was a great idea and I was so looking forward to it and it was a great film, one for any British person to enjoy, Americans can watch it, but probably not enjoy it, British humour just works in differant ways.

england isnt the only country in britain. theres wales and scotland and n ireland.

Hey mate im english and it was the worst movie i have ever seen. explain that.

no offence intended.

reply

Well first off... do you hate Ant and Dec? If you do, you hate it. Second... do you love Ant and Dec as the presenters they are? If you do, you hate it. If you like films and you watch Alien Autopsy AS AN ACTUAL FILM, you'll at least think it was interesting. I enjoyed it because I wasn't expecting Ant and Dec to be their presenting selves. If you are going to watch this film to see Ant and Dec you love to watch and cheer with... then don't even bother borrowing a copy from your mates... If you are going to watch it just because you hate Ant and Dec and want to comment on how bad their acting was (don't know what kind of weirdo would do that and the acting wasn't terrible) then your comment is pointless.

For me, someone who likes Ant and Dec but also loves films, Alien Autopsy was interesting and at times funny. 7/10

I applaud Ant and Dec for making this sort of film and not a pathetic spoof everyone expected them to go for. Well done.

I personally found myself laughing at the 1.4 billion people who watched the fake autopsy.
As for the film itself I enjoyed it - always good to see the great Harry Dean Stanton !

reply

......and yet so many English people just can't fathom why the rest of the UNITED Kingdom hates to see England win at any sort of sport.

"The Scottish and Welsh should all support England's football team!"

Yet the Scottish and Welsh are required to endure comments such as: "England is the only country in Britain"

It's the English media's arrogance reflected in comments such as the above that does it.

Take some time to think about that.

Far be this a place to discuss frivolities of Britishness...

The film is reasonably poor, no matter what your geographical origins. It's poorly directed, features sets worthy of Crossroads (the early years), the lighting was dim too often and let's face it, Ant & Dec were never going to win any awards on this performance. The comdeic timing was at best "passable". In fairness, following my comments on the films sets, the crew did do an acceptable job given the low budget they were given to manage. Perhaps the films ultimate flaw is it's indecision. Is it a Comedy? It was certainly billed as one, but at times it wants to cross-dress as a drama. Not a complete disaster, but nothing to polish shoes for. 4.5/10

I reckon that quote in the cinema that went something like..
ant: "can you hear that?"

dec: "I can't hear anything..."

ant: "exactly, no-one is laughing."

should have been on the poster as it sums up the whole film perfectly..

yes, that was one idiot who said about england being britain. The truth is that scotland is the most racist pert of britain. I am english, and moved to scotland when i was 3. I was ignores and bullied throughout primary school. Now that i am 14, i still get it sometimes. During the world cup, people in scotland were being beaten leading to hospital, just for wearing a #n england top. THAT is racist. Also, the only reason that scotland are against england in football is that they are terrible. They're just jealous that we can actually play, and the fact that they are arrogant pigs (generally speaking) means that they choose to be against us rather than back their neighbours.

The film: i thought it was really good. if anyone saw the documentary on skyone, that would show how truthful the film was.

p.s. my cousin plays preston, the butcher

reply

Just seen this last night and quite enjoyed it, however didn't expect it to be very funny, I just have a genuine interest in the roswell incident and this great hoax!

p.s. the butcher was actually quite funny though

....back of the net.

reply

It's not racist, it's nationalist.
Secondly, if you've lived in Scotland since you were three theres NO WAY you have an english accent now and considering your forenamde is Scottish and your Surname is Icelandic/Dansk the only way you'd be considered English is if you went around promoting the fact.

Of course if you live in Glasgow/Dundee/Edinburgh/Aberdeen/christ, any city in Scotland you'll have some idiot starting on you for wearing an England shirt. What do you expect. I guarantee there are just as many idiots in Wales/England that would have the same reaction over a Scotland shirt, so before you go making blind accusations make sure you aren't being "racist" yourself.
You're 14 years old. You don't have the life experience to be making claims about an entire country's 'Foreign Policy' yet.

P.S. The film isn't going to win any oscars. I laughed at a few moments, but I have to admit that at least 80 percent of these were slapstick. Bear in mind though that it cost 5m to make. That's less than Bill Pullman gets paid for the majority of films he acts in so let's appreciate that he obviously saw something good in this film too. It's not terribly deep, but it's nice that it gives an insight into what the two supposed hoaxers actually tried to pull off. It's not going to stay with me forever, but I've seen countless worse films.

Was he called cameron_richardson when you replied to him. Because "Richardson" is an English surname taken from the name "Richard" which was brought to the British Isles by the Normans. The "-son" element is influenced by Norse though as the native form was "-ing".

I would say there is a racist component in Scots Nationalism to be fair. Hence Borderers are being brainwashed into becoming a Non-Anglic people despite their origin being Northumbrian. Hence their language has been renamed "Scots" rather than "Inglis", they are told that the Northern English of Northumberland are a different ethnic group when they are largely the same. And the Scots Establishment is even trying to make Gaelic the language of all of Scotland, including the Anglic Lowlands and Nordic Orkney and Shetland (which they forced to speak Inglis when that was the fashion). And you should see how many Scotsmen are disgusted and try to cover up that certain Clans (Clan Donalds, McDougals, McLeods et cetera) are Norse-Gaelic and not just Gaelic.

Though this can be compared to the British Establishment's efforts to connect the English and England to the ancient Brythons (who they prefer ti call "British") and Romans while completrly ignoring the original English, or "Anglo-Saxons" as they are called (whereas Brythons are of course "the British") who are percieved as "filthy NAZI foreigners". I am not sure why the British Establishment is against (or pretends to be against) the BNP when both groups have the same moronic, racist ideas anyway.

I am of english decent (1 generation down) so I cant say I am 100% british. But I am up on the UK scene and everything. Ant and Dec are absolutely fabulous! Canada hasn't seen anything they have done, besides the Brit Awards. Dont know why anyone would give this movie such a bad rating. I have heard nothing but good things about it. A film doesnt have to win a grammy to be funny :)

I honestly though Ant and Dec's careers were dead when I'm a celebrity get me out of here continued. But I liked Alien autopsy, it was solid British humour with an interesting (yet probably over exxaggerated) plot.

reply

but you see.. its NOt funny never, not any second of it is funny or even clever.

Better watch blackadder III for the 20th time, that will make you laugh i'm sure.

reply

Oi...you can slag off the humour in Alien Autopsy because yes, it is mild. But Blackadder III is genius in parts.
