I like Ant and Dec...I will say that, I am from the NE of England too. But this film is AWFUL.

It is a 12a....if I had taken a child I would not have been happy. Not many uses of the f-word...but there should not have been any. You think Ant and Dec you think of good humoured, light hearted banter..this was neither.

It was a film made by 2 con men, about 2 con men. They have obviously spent their earning from their alien con in the 90's and are trying to make some more now. Well, I hope they don't from this.

Ant and Dec were terrible. Wooden and, well, just Ant and Dec. I didn't laugh at all, so was surprised it was supposed to be a comedy. Sad really...this was a disaster movie....not an attempt ' to champion the old Ealing comedy' which is a comment from imdb.

Its so true, their 'footage' ten years ago was all aload of crap.

In fact I wouldnt be suprised if this is their master plan:

1 - Make A Hoax
2 - Spread it around telling everyone its real.
3 - After 10 years of people wondering if its real or not, come out and say "allthough we actually made the film ourselves its not a fake, its a remake!" (yeah right lads)
4 - With all the money made from selling the stories to the media, and after investing a lot of it heavily so they still have money incase the next part fails, make a movie to help promote their claim that the film was once real and say the film is to 'help make people belive their story about the original film'
5 - Profit heavily from the film, invest it, the investments from the original scam are allready bringing in a lot of interest, 10 years from now those two will be very rich, or in jail if I had my way.

And they probly will profit, I mean really, it cant cost much to hire ant and dec to act in a movie now can it? Those guys are so washed up I paid them 15 quid each and they did a 2 hour stand up at my 6 year old brothers birthday party.

Youre not laughing? Thats ok their audience wasn't either.

If you dont like ant and dec why pay them for your brothers birthday???? Don't be pathetically jealous they are nowhere near as washed up as you put yourself across to be! I'm sure they hold you in as high regard! You seem like a lovely person (NOT!!!!!)

Ah don't let people like this get to you. But this guy was clearly being sarcastic about having Ant and Dec perform at a birthday party.

I think Ant and Dec cost around 15 grand for a corporate appearance. It's probably more now, I enquired about it about 4 years ago! (Needless to say, I couldn't afford them!)

As to whether the real Santilli and Shoefield should still be making money off the back of their deception I have to say I'm on the fence. Yes, fooling the world (if they even did so. I don't remember anyone I knew *actually* believing it!) into believing the film was real was wrong. But you've also got to admire them for it, in a way. I can't wait for the dvd to come out, as presumably there'll be a long interview with them about it.

The film's not the best ever made, and it's not an hilarious comedy. It is the only genre you could place it in, though. It's not sci-fi! But it's a good, enjoyable film with an interesting storyline, in my opinion. And I don't think Ant and Dec's acting was wooden at all! If you compare the Byker Grove days to Alien Autopsy there is a hugeeeee improvement. Dec certainly had me convinced he was Santilli. Ant's character didn't have much depth for him to get his teeth into.

My brother loves ant and dec :p

Its nice to see people such as mooseange have some common sense, Im not 'against ant and dec' sure I never liked biker grove or that saturday kids show they did, but I did like alien autopsy, their acting was good and it made me laugh,

Also cam-jon, im not really that washed up just yet, seeing as im too young to have a career in anything just yet, but im getting there, ill give you an email in a few years time once my alcohol problem has developed fully, im out of work and under several lawsuits from various ex wifes, then you can rip out of me.

why do people both to come on here having ago at Ant and Dec!!!
you obviously had to look at alien autopsy to comment in here what is the point!!!!
and for all of the people who have been to see the film and then come on here and complain about how rubbish it was and generally complain about Ant and Dec why bother going????!!!!!
because Ant and Dec mainly represent the film, if you dont like them then dont go!!!
plus when did you hire Ant and Dec like 10 years ago!!!

i can see why some dont like the film, people go there expecting the lads to be like they are on takeaway but there not, this is what there trying to do. they want to diff stuff all the time. good on em for trying!

I though Ant and Dec were great.

I have a suspicion that people dislike them bacause they are Geordies (as am I...though I don't have a thick accent....except to some people...but never mind).

I didn't mind the film, though I remember at the time I knew that the autopsy was fake....they just hacked the alien up and didn't even hold the 'scissors' properly.

I liked seeing John Cater in it though, he was great in the olden days when he was in such films as the 'Doctor Phibes' films and 'Captain Kronos'.

what you people who posted first got from a FAMILY COMEDY, that 2 con men are trying to fool the world so they can get millions of dollars by hiring ant and dec to star in a film backing up their stry so everyone would think
"oh theres a film with ant and dec, it must be true?"

ever think that people thought it would be a GOOD IDEA for a movie?
get the DVD and watch "The Making Of Ant And Dec's Alien Autopsy>"
then stop complaining.

complaining? its a crap movie, shame the story is pretty funny.

Just another missed opportunity to make something cool, sad because nobody will do it proper now.

I thought Ant and Dec were great. Dunno where the 'wooden' and 'awful' comes from, you must have been seeing something else.

The film itself was good fun, well made and had a good-paced story. Recommend it.
