. . . who posed as the original cameraman for the TV interview really an actor in two movies with Lionel Barrymore in 1935, or was that just added for this film? If so, I wonder which actor he was.

The homeless guy actually was a real actor. I dont know if he was in a movie with Lionel Barrymore. Only one person knows who he is, and I believe he is intending to reveal this in his book on the alien autopsy.

Credit lists Orson Bean. He has been acting since early 50's. He was and is a huge star. Intelligent man, he was a staple on game shows all through 60's and 70's . Comedian with huge knowledge base.
