Did David *beep* Spade just diss Robin Williams?

I know I did not see him do that.

Robin Williams is ten times funnier than Spade will ever be....what a douche. This show isn't very good....

Spade was great as a suporting character in comedies with Chris Farley, but since his death, Spade hasn't done anything worth talking about other than Joe Dirt.

Robin Williams acts like he does on talk shows to get people to go to his movies. It worked, for it was #1 last weekend. Have you ever seen the episode of Inside the Actors Studio with Robin on it? James Lipton gives him a scarf and says, "For five minutes, entertain us with this.".

He did.

The point is, when Robin is promoting a movie like RV, he acts like a moron. But hearing him talk about his more serious roles, Like Dead Poets Society, The Fisher King, Good Will Hunting(Oscar) and even in some of his comedic roles, like Good Morning, Vietnam.

I like Spade's sense of humor, but this show isn't that good, and mocking one of the best Stand Up Comedians/Actors of our time, well, I mean, it IS the purpose of his show, but....look, the point is Spade is jealous of Williams.....hair envy, and whatnot.

this post carries extra meaning considering recent events, lol

I don't think David was really dissing him, just poking fun at him. He did the same thing to Vin Diesel when he was on all the talk shows telling the same story over and over.

reply

For a start I disagree with everybody who just said David isnt funny. To be honest I dont think Robin Williams has ever made me laugh. Ever.

reply

Robin Williams sucks. David Spade is alot funnier.

Wow....i am going to go pray for all of your senses of humor right now.......

i thought it was funny & it reminded me of the vin disel clip

i thought robin williams was funny in the past,i like some of
his movies (dead poet society for ex) but now, it just seems
to he tries to hard to be funny

reply

basically, he has been doing nothing but indie-sih films and low budget peices of junk to increase his resume, and now, with RV he basically decided to make some money. And he did. And the movie did.....

Spade owned Williams in that bit.

Spade > Williams

That bit was funnier than anything Robin Williams has done in the past 10 years, easily.

Hmm....the Birdcage, Patch Adams, Death to Smoochy, and Robots=Williams last ten years

black sheep(funny because of Farley), Emperors new groove(pretty good voice acting, but nowhere near Robin in Aladdin), Joe Dirt(Solid), Dickie Roberts(awful), Racing Stripes(awful), the Benchwarmers(worst movie I saw all year).

Now, lets take a look at their stand up specials.....The only one I could find was called "Take the Hit", and hasn't been seen by many people, and has only a 6.3 rating.

Williams newest stand up special, Live on Broadway....8.5

Williams wins this battle as well.

Look, I like spade alright. He just doesn't need to diss people who are better than him.

AND????
If you are saying those are great comedy, then you must laugh at cancer victims.

Tommy Boy, Joe Dirt, and Just Shoot Me kill anything Robin Williams has done in the past 10 or 11 years comedically.

I'll take Dennis Finch over Mork from Ork any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Spade's style of humor is much more to my liking. I like cutting repartee over slapdick blathering jibberish.

Robin Williams is an unfunny douche bag. Spade, while far from a comic genius, is still preferred over Robin Williams stuttering in dumb accents and flailing his arms like a retard.

sand lizard man....I believe the poster was saying HE prefers Spade over Robin Williams. I also prefer David Spade no matter what ratings you drag out. Williams has been okay in a few dramatic roles, but does his same spastic shtick in every performance and movie he's in. It was tired in the '80's and even worse now....

I love how you use IMDB ratings to bolster your argument. That would mean that the Dark Knight belongs in the top 250 movies of all time because a bunch of 14 year olds voted 100,000 times for it.
