Eight more days...!
Hello all!
Well, hello to at least myself, anyway. It seems I am the first to discover this board.
Anyway, as any obsessive fanboys/fangirls like me know, the 'Tsubasa Chronicle' movie is hitting Japanese theaters in only eight days! And, while it may be many years before us unfortunates in America get to see it (oh, what I would give to be Japanese...), anticipation is still high among fans of the manga and the currently running television series. With a wonderful cast, strong financial backing, and the animators of Production I.G. behind it, the half-hour 'Tsubasa Chronicle' movie may be some of the best animation of the year to come out of Japan. Ranking in at only the fourth CLAMP animated film ('X' and both 'Cardcaptor Sakura' movies came first), there are also many hopes that it will help to show the future of the most famous manga-ka in Japan. In addition, it is being shown with the 'xxxHolic' movie, thus making it one of (if not the) first 'crossover' film and story colaborations in anime. Lastly, it comes at a time of great prosperity for CLAMP, as they are celebrating fifteen long years of hard work and beautiful art and stories, and this sort of 'anniversary' film project is one of the crowning results.
Anyone else out there interested in the film (or the series for that matter, since it is not currently listed on the IMDb and won't be until they accept my submission in a month or so)? If you have any comments, concerns, or just want to chat, by all means join the conversation on this unique up-and-coming film! Also, I have a thread currently running over on the 'xxxHolic' page, so feel free to get involved there too!
Love and Peace!
