I don't know about the rest of India .. but if you live in Delhi ... you can totally connect with the movie .. like the little jokes and lines here and there ...
".. ab to aap south dilli waale hone ja rahe hain .. ghar wale to bade khush honge, nai .. "
Don't know if non-Delhiites understand the relevence of south Delhi ...

The property dealer's shop was so typical of the kind of property dealer shops you see in Delhi ... and then there was this Delhi feel all over in the movie ...

But overall the movie was excellent ... and I am pretty sure people from all over the country would have enjoyed it equally ..

can u please explain the significance of south delhi.. i am from Mumbai. here when u say south mumbai it actually means the townside(main city) away from suburbs...is it the same with delhi too?

South Delhi is considered to be very posh .. and the land rates there are really high .. a lot of people are attracted to buy their houses there because of the reputation of South Delhi ..
Truly speaking .. there is water shortage problem in South Delhi, frequent electricity cuts ... and they were the first to have the mandatory shift to CAS ... so South Delhi is only popular because of the reputation ... I think ..

alright so its the same like mumbai...its quite posh because of the old British architecture and property rates are sky high..now i know what u meant..but this is a class movie..

Also, South Delhi i feel is much better place to live in than anywhere else in Delhi. Of course Central Delhi is very very posh but it's almost exclusively reserved for VVIP's !

You are soooo totally right ! We're Delites living out of India and man, my parents were like...That's so Delhi, That's wow, that! I have seen it. They said that after they stopped laughing or giggling .I enjoyed the movie a lot too. Made me feel like running to India and go visit paranthagali, shop in AnsalPlaza Mall. See, if Noida's RubyTuesday is still being made. hmmmm... This movie had the essence of Delhi

I agree. The whole movie is very Delhi specific, with the modern thinking, friendly Sardar next door that EVERY Delhiite has. Even li'l things like the crowded DTC bus,and the paper wala throwing the paper into the house. The property dealer's shop. The way Sahani Saab and Khosla Saab shake hands every time they meet. All characters are typical Delhiites.
