Is this a decent film?

No, pretty lame, I like sci-fi and this was just a bad version of harry potter.

It's fantasy, not sci-fi. I agree though.

Harry Potter? As someone who has read the full 7 books (and watched the first 4 movies) I fail to see any connection beyon "kids" and "magic".

However, it might classify as "Warlock", though watered down for kids. And I might add, Warlock predates the HP books for quite some years.

No, i am afraid. We just can't make good fantasy-adventure movies here in Denmark. And the script was'n very good.

Good but not great. However better than 90% of the trash produced in Hollywood.
