Bitorrent or Buy?

Is there any place I can find a bitorrent of this or where I can buy it subtitled?

Hello, and welcome to the 'xxxHolic' Forums!

Bitorrent, I have absolutely no clue, nor do I wish to. For the sake of the artists, creators, and everyone else, I should say now I am not in favor of piracy, but seeing as how it will be some time before the film makes it over to America (or wherever you live, if it is not in this country), I suppose taking a look at a fansubbed version is alright IF YOU BUY THE OFFICIAL DVD LATER. But, unlike a television anime or OAV, this was a film that was released in the theater, so any version you find online is a pirated, taped-in-the-theater copy, which is the lowest of the low as far as quality or morals go.

Unfortunately, at the moment you don't really have any alternatives, though. The film is not out on DVD in Japan (it just came out less than two months ago) and is not slated for a U.S. release anytime soon. So, for the time being, I think you will probably have to wait with all of us for the official release over here. Now, when the DVD comes out in Japan (which will probably be in six to eight months, or maybe even sooner), it may come with English subtitles, but then you have the region coding to deal with. So, if you see it anywhere for sale right now or anytime in the near future, it's a bootleg and is probably minimal quality.

That all said, good luck in trying to see it. As you can tell, I don't condone piracy, but the fansub community is always trying to help those who are eager to catch an early glimpse. Maybe they can help you. Keep an eye out on the sites that have 'Tsubasa Chronicle' episodes, because it is likely they would be the ones to have the movie if anyone gets it (I appologise, but I do not know the URLs, or else I would list them). If you do get a chance to see it, be sure to come back and let us know what it was like!

Joe Ranft, rest in peace. We all miss you dearly already. But, wherever you are is surely made a brighter place because you are there. Good luck, with whatever may concern you now.
