In an interview released in December of 2007, Konomi mentioned that he originally planned to have Fuji transfer to Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku after this match, but he later scrapped that idea.
Any thoughts if this had happened?
A really good Tezuka Fuji match.
And lots of confusion on who all was going to play singles because I dont see Sanada, Yukimaru, or Renji playing doubles.

Actually Renji made wonderful combination with his childhood friend Inui on the Invitational Tournament camp, so playing doubles is not so far from his abilities. Same goes to Fuji who is excellent in doubles. Finally Sanada alos did well playing alongside Atobe.
I'd go for singles: Yukimaru, Sanada and Kirihara and doubles 1 - Renji and Fuji.
But all in all, Fuji should have stayed in Seigaku like he eventualy had.
I'm sure the fans would complain loud and clear... practically speaking, any regular's transfer to another school would be bad for the show's popularity.
