Can't believe this has got a very low rating. It was a good thing I didn't visit this site before I watched it because I would've been turned off. But, men, I enjoyed this movie through and through! Adam Campbell and Eddie Griffin were hilarious. I laughed all through out the movie.

shareYou don't have to be a moron or even immature to enjoy Date Movie or any movie. People like different things and sometimes it's hard to pinpoint it. I laughed so much during Date Movie, but Epic Movie? I hated it, and would not recommend it to anyone. But instead of being arrogant, I say take the majority 1 star reviews as a warning. You never know what you might find funny.

You must be incredibly easy to amuse. You see, the rating is inaccurate. It's still too high.
I will not be happy until these movies all land in the bottom 100, fighting for the #1 spot there.
The problem is quite simple, the people like me who are above average intelligence (must be an IQ of 90 nowadays...) cannot find any amusement in the obvious joke. We look to humour to amuse us through smarter jokes than that. Slapstick and dumb *beep* can be funny when used right, unlike in this case, when it's just used. They don't understand timing and never will.
The fact that Seltzer hasn't gifted us with his suicide is quite appalling really.
I agree that you probably have to be under 14 years old or an incredible loser to laugh all the way through this movie.
By the way, Chainsaw, "May" is bad ass.

shareI agree that the rating is inaccurate. It's too HIGH. After the first 20-30 mins of this movie, I had to change the channel (I feel bad for those who actually paid to see this). I think mostly adolescent boys would enjoy this. I'm definitely not against all parodies, I LOVED Scary Movie 1-3 (4 was...ok). But I think after the Scary Movie parodies, they got sloppy and less creative when making parodies thinking it would be easy to put one together.

I can safely say I know more about comedy than you (as I'm a comedy snob) and I lose track of how many shows and comedians I like, yet if someone finds Date Movie funny, they have NO sense of humour.
I find everything funny, from high brow to low brow. How can I not have a sense of humour? I can ring humour from just about any situation. That and the physics of drinking beer out of a boot shaped glass is what I do, useless though they both may be.

It's not that you have a terrific sense of humor cause you think everything funny. You just don't have a quality filter installed in your brain. So, to you, farts, fat dudes, and falls, are nice comedy itself and probably makes you laugh. But monkeys can be trained to do that aswell.
