This movie may be far from perfect but...

...the usage of red colour was quite outstanding.

For instance, remember how Shin went to the living-room at night while at his girlfriend's house; that small red lamp on the right looked really ominous in the dark, although nothing was going wrong, YET.

And the scene on the red bridge where Shin met Picasso was shot gorgeously.

Agreed, the art-direction and cinematography in this film were excellent. I was especially taken by how the spray-paint red of Picasso's mark contrasted the blue of the blanket in Shin and Takashi's apartment.

Agree absolutely. That was a moment in the film when my heart stopped beating! For the enigmatic Picasso finally appears in human form before Shin's eyes. Ryuhei Matsuda is the perfect actor for the role - and a poster here said Matsuda's acting was no-acting?! Which I aboslutely disagree. Matsuda is one of the most talented actors in Japan today, and his unusual beauty is an incarnation of both the angel and devil.
