Why is it always Copper...

...leaving Todd behind? There isn't one situation where Todd's doing better or leaving Copper behind. Lol, this isn't some sort of "dogs are better than cats" thing, is it? Or is it the fact that Todd's a fox and foxes aren't a normal pet?

In the first movie, I guess it's more Amos and Chief's fault for holding Copper back, but in the second movie, Copper flat out forgets Todd. In both movies, Copper's finding friends and influences all over the place, but the only pals I've ever seen Todd with are the lady, the owl and the birds from the 1st movie...all of which are usually too busy or just unable to play with him like Copper and his friends.

Ha ha, foxes are canines, so it's not that!
You do have a point though. Makes you feel a bit bad for Tod. :( Then again, he was certainly very fortunate to have Widow Tweed, Big Mama, and later Vixey (and even Dinky and Boomer.) His life isn't really any emptier than Copper's, I suppose. At first it seems as though Copper is always leaving *him* behind, but in the end they simply go their separate ways...you could even look at it as Tod leaving Copper to live in the wild with his mate...
