OMG...

Well, I never let sequels I dislike "ruin" the originals for me...but frankly, as much as I loved this movie for the Singin' Strays and the music and the slick, bright, shiny-looking animation...I wished they'd either done the original film much better justice, or simply done it as an original movie in its own right. It didn't have to be Tod & Copper (and a goofy little bit of Chief, Widow Tweed, and Amos Slade); that was pretty much just to rope people in because, "Oh, the fox and the hound that we know and love! Better buy this for the kiddies!" Their story was too much of a dinky little Saturday morning cartoon to be worthy of the incredible beauty of the actual Fox & the Hound.
