Saw the sequel first and thought it was OK, until I saw the first one...

The sequel is actually a well made home video for childrean, happy and fun. However, the first one, which was made 25 years ago, is at another level of film making. You can tell that by just watching the first two minutes of the movie before the story actually begins. I was shocked when I saw the first scene of how the camrea gradually moving into the deep forest with the surrounding sound of insects and animals.
