Lucifer
Okay, let's see... in the end of the first movie, Lucifer falls off the house, presumably to his death. But, then, he's in the introduction with the step family...? Did he break a few bones, perhaps? If so, why doesn't he limp?
shareThey just had him survive. Either they used the idea that cats have nine lives or the one that they always land on their feet (I think the latter's the official one). Either way works.
shareHe probably hurt himself as it was a long drop but I think he might have landed on his feet. I think you could only see it for a second but when he was falling, I think I saw him starting to turn his stomach towards the ground slightly to land on his feet just before the camera cut the scene.
