Sadly, they never did show Kenai's older brother Denahi in the sequel. I don't know why, it's a big old disapointment. I thought he and Sitka's roles in the first movie were a little bit bigger so why couldn't they try to show them in the sequel?! I'd hate to act all bitchy about the sequel since I hate it so much, but...leaving out one of the fewer characters from the first movie...that's not right. I mean come on people! Why show only Tug if they couldn't even show the rest of the characters?! Even their roles were bigger than Tanana's! And lastly, I don't think Disney be that dumb enough to turn Denahi into a bear, he would need a bear totem for that. Remember...his is the wolf totem which means wisdom.

My opinon is that if they were going to include Denahi, they had to find a replacement voice actor for him since the person that did Denahi's voice commited suicide and that's kinda sad. Don't you think? The least that they could have done is give him a small cameo or something which he doesn't have any lines.
shareTrue, the sequel did came out 2 years after Jason Raize's suicide death. I always picture Jason Marsden to do his voice. He's very well known for playing Max. If they ever create a Brother Bear TV show, it will be hard to find a voice actor to replace Joaquin Phoenix cause I was told he's not that much into voice acting, but I find James Marsden a good choice to play Kenai instead of Patrick Dempsey. He was too cheesy and ugh.....gay to be playing Kenai. I find James Marsden's voice to appeal more young and entertaining like and it feels like a good choice to me.

I never thought of that. You would of think after going from one place to the other, they could of had Kenai and Koda turn into Denahi again if he was out hunting like you said.

There's also the part where Nita, Kenai, and Koda are watching the Northern Lights come up for the equinox and then Nita ad Koda are thinking about their own mothers being up in the sky. My first thought was that Kenai might be thinking about Sitka and that's why he looked so sad, but then they didn't show him at all or even mention him. When Nita gets turned into a bear and all the spirits are dancing in the sky with the giant bear in the middle, I thought they might show Sitka as a sign or something... but no cigar.
