Just saw it at Toronto Film Fest

Amazing, powerful, breathtaking. The director and Ziyi Zhang were there and they both spoke. She was eloquent and beautiful.

Ha! That's some news. So these big Hollywood moguls didn't bother to go to Venice.

Does Paramount have an Art House/Foreign Film division?

The big studios have separate division that only work on Foreign films or art house films, or niche films.

For example,

"Sony Picture Classics" under the big parent "Sony".

"Warner Independent" under "Warner Brothers"

By the way, Miramax is NO LONGER operated by Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein. The 2 Weinstein brothers were kicked out by Disney (the parent company). I wonder if Miramax (under NEW leadership) is still leaning toward Asian films.

Yes I also saw the film in Toronto it was great! And I saw Ziyi Zhang at the premiere the day before, I was so excited to see her! She looked so beautiful and I got some great photos of her! What did she talk about inside the film theatre? Did everyone enjoy the film/festival?

She didn't say very much, as she flew directly from the Taipei Premiere to attend the Toronto Festival screening, and probably was a bit tired. And she also mentioned that she didn't have any time to enjoy the film festival as her entire day in Toronto was spent in her room giving interviews to the press. Soon afterward, she was on a jet headed to Seoul for the Korean Premiere. A busy lady.

She did point out that it was her second visit to the Toronto Film Festival. The first time was to promote House of Flying Daggers in September of 2004 (North American premiere).

All that traveling, how did she manage to look so good! That is a shame she didn't get to spend anytime in Toronto during the festival!

What other films/actors did anyone see during the festival?
