If you see Curse of the golden flower and Banquet, one after another its amazing the similarities of the movies. So i wonder who makes the better empress.
Personally id prefer Gong Li to be my empress ^^ She looks more mature and charismatic as an empress, but most of all, she fails killing the emperor, wich ... would be me hahaha.

I love ZZ, but Gong Li was a magnificent empress in Curse....
