I believe only lions or related couls split up limbs like that. When Callum is bitten, he only have a normal bite mark on his arm
Of course they can, German Sheppard are no different than wolves when trained to kill. Callum only faced one dog (in the water) they may not have shown the full extent of his injuries from the dog besides the single bite mark.

Big dogs have too much energy for my tastes. I was visiting a friend who a young but nearly fully grown lab and it was too energetic, so we took it for a walk, then a run, then we couldn't walk or run anymore so we stood at opposite ends of a field and threw a football back and forth and the dog would run to each of us back and forth and back and we could not tire the animal! Hours passed and we were too tired ourselves. I just assume predators in the wild are like that. You will never tire them puny human! Ah but our great power in the wild was to jog at a nice pace for tens of miles to finally out endure our prey.

Yes, German sheppards that big probably could. They way the dog bit callum in the water would have severely injured him. Look up police dogs on youtube. Dogs are alot more powerful than most people think.
