A new medium = a new MacLeod...

It seems everytime the "Highlander" franchise is brought to a new medium, a new MacLeod is created. You had the original, Connor MacLeod, who started it all with the first Highlander movie. Then you had Highlander: The Series, and Duncan MacLeod was introduced. Then came Highlander: The Animated Series, and Quentin Macloud was created. Now, there's gonna be a "Highlander" anime movie, and we have yet another new MacLeod, Colin.

Tis true, looks like this anime will rock some serious style. Kawajiri could knock this one out of the park.

It doesn't matter too much to me, because im really not into anime. But i guess this is great news for all the Highlander fans who are also anime fans. I guess im looking forward much more so to Highlander: The Source. I might check this out though...

The anime trailer looks awesome. I'll definitely watch some of it.

it's about time they have an anime version of highlander. it was ripe for the anime treatment. the cartoon series was just horrible, too childish. really looking forward to it...

I haven't seen the old cartoon but I get what you mean. I love cartoons but sometimes they are a bit too childish but that is gonna be thrown out the window with this one! Vengence is defo gonna to be good!

maybe we are seeing parallel universes?

that would explain the inconsistancies... the different Maclouds... the different times we saw Connor become 'the one' and Shudder the Quickening and the second Remierez.

Thanks for pointing that out Diamond Dan- even though its nothing 'official' i finally can accept all things Highlander now

i did the same thing with the movie 'Red Dawn' growing up the history was a possibility- but now the movie works as a kick ass alternate Earth.

so yeah- that's how im going to see all this now- we are viewing parallel realities and Macloud must be a nexus of sorts

I don't know how much I like that. I know I grew attached to Conner from the movie, and then Duncan from the series (I was into both at about the same time), and probably a lot of other fans did too. This Colin character is all new and the teaser makes it look like they're redoing the whole series; its in a completely different style. It's even in the future. New York is under water...what what? I'd rather they kept more parallels.

Makes you wonder what they plan to name the MacLeod in the Highlander Video Game coming out next year.

"The Crow" is the best "Comic book/graphic novel" movie. It's true.
