Highlander: Return to Zeist!

Eh, gauging from the trailer it's in the distant future and this Colin MacLeod is fighting robots with laser guns and such...

Also looks like Highlander 2 meets Pokemon. I'll check it out, but doesn't look Highlander-esque.

I'll agree that it doesn't look very much like the Highlander shows or first movie. I fail to see how it reminds you of Pokemon.

Still, it's being done by the guy who did Ninja Scroll, so have some faith.

I watched the trailer on www.highlander-official.com, and it doesn't look very good. Highlander works best as a historical epic: the body in the present, the soul in the past. The future? Not a good choice.

Have some faith. It's by the guy who did Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It'll turn out fine.

Plus the fact that David Abramowitz, who was the head writer on the "Highlander" TV series, wrote the story for this film. To me, it looks interesting. I can't wait to see this one!

you might have seen the source trailer. i can't find the search for vengeance at all in this movie.

yes, the source sucks tons of ass.

Give it a chance, I just saw a screening copy and I really liked it. I'm not into the whole anime thing, but I really liked this.

So I did give it a chance, and it was pretty much as bad as I thought it would be. The Source was also awful, as were the audio books by Big Finish. Considering how much I love the franchise, what a shame that nothing good (or even decent) has been produced in years. Except maybe the reunion special, starring Elizabeth Gracen and Peter Wingfield, which was sort of a no budget, hardcore fan only tribute to the show.
