I am currently watching this, it's amazing, but there are plot holes -- this is my opinion. For example we see him die while fighting with the Clan MacLeod during the 14th or 15th century...but then later in the movie it goes back to 125 CE; now he's well over 2000yrs old!

You know he's immortal, so clearly if he's alive in 2124, then he didn't die with Clan Mcleod :P
Anyway, yes the movie is pretty damn cool. Wouldn't call it amazing, but its bloody badass :)

No, the OP wasn't confused, because the OP has watched it again a few times, and the OP is correct, he only becomes an Immortal during the 14th to 15th century.

Personally I didn't think it was all that amazing. I felt the post apocalyptic setting and story where just rehashing of other movies and didn't add anything unique and I didn't think there was very much action at all, the final battle was a real let down to me.

Uh, I don't want to sound rude, but no he didn't. Colin was a Celt who became Immortal during the days of the Roman Empire, long before the 14th-15th century.
That scene was shown first to establish why Colin uses the MacLeod name. It wasn't his first death.
