93. That someone who, on the surface, appears to be a neurotic mess with massive personality faults will, over time, reveal themselves to be a neurotic mess with massive personality faults and superpowers. You will continue to date her anyway, even though you have no feelings for her.

92. Despite having only acquired your superpowers seconds earlier you will be able to battle, as equals, a woman who has been a superhero for 20+ years.

91. That even in a fantasy movie it's stretching credibilty to have Uma Thurman dating Eddie Izzard.

90. If you lose touch with a school friend you should devote your entire adult life to trying to destroy them. They will almost certainly end up dating you as a result.

85.Bedlam has either been gay or celibate during his 20 year separation from Jenny. There is no reference to any other women in his life during that time and one would think that a man of his stature would have several romantic interests at one time.We see no women in Barry's life during the time frame of the film and his reputation as a supervillain would easily have been a good chick magnet. They could easily have paired him off with a sexy moll.

84.Carla,Wanda Sykes character is a true stick in the mud in every sense of the word.Heaven forbid a full blooded all american male finds a girl's butt attractive or a girl and her boyfriend kiss and hold hands on their way to lunch.Carla probably never had a night of fun in her life.

reply

Here are some things learned that are pretty much against "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" altogether:

83. Jenny/G-Girl forgot how to cope with rejection, a talent that she had prior to obtaining super powers.

82. The sex scene in the sky - borderline rape (after all, Jenny/G-Girl stated that "she had always wanted to try this", but Matt did not agree to do so - he was simply in an uncompromising position, as it were.

81. The Jenny/G-Girl character is anything but likable.

80. There was blame all the way around for this movie's failure. Take your pick - Uma Thurman, Luke Wilson, Anna Faris, Eddie Izzard, Wanda Sykes, Rainn Wilson, or even Ivan Reitman. Why any of them, talented as they are, agreed to act in or direct (Reitman) a movie with such a poorly developed screenplay, I'll never know.

79. Sexism cuts both ways in the movie - look closely and you'll see for yourself.

78. Abuse of super powers to create misfortune for another is generally not very pretty or very funny - it is more likely to be rather unfunny, disturbing, and ultimately, nonsense.

77. The movie as it stood was incomplete and meandering in telling its story.

76. Eddie Izzard was not even comedically convincing as a villain, assuming Professor Bedlam's character qualified as such.

75. Had the plot for "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" been run in a version called "My Super Ex-Boyfriend", it probably would have been protested incessantly, and ultimately, had not been released.

reply

74.Bedlam gets one of the biggest breaks in movie villain history. He and Jenny/G-Girl break up in high school after she acquires her super powers. He spends the next 20 years as a super villain and G-Girl's arch enemy. He spends 10 years researching ways to destroy her powers. He spends time in jail, even electrocutes a guard. He attempts to kill her boyfriend Matt by hanging him upside down from the Statue of Liberty. He breaks into Jenny's apt.to steal her hair locks! Finally he enlists Matt's help in destroying her powers which he succeeds at temporarily. Then after Matt gets Bedlam convinced that since he had G-Girl's pictures and news articles pasted over his walls, that meant he was in love w/her![Imo he did this for research purposes while planning to destroy her powers.]When Matt tells Jenny about Barry and the wall pictures, she naievly believes he really does love her and instantly forgives him for all his previous deviltry and reunites w/him.The next day we see them lovey dovey together as if nothing happened.Jenny mustve had a lot of pull w/the legal authorities as very seldom even in the movies does a criminal guilty of evil plotting of taking down a super heroine, electrocuting a prison guard, attemted murder of Matt, breaking and entering and finally destroying said super heroine's powers get off that easily!

71.Barry was a born criminal and was destined to go down a crooked path.In watching Bedlam's character on screen in tieing Matt upside down to the statue of liberty after his interrogations fail, electrocuting the prison guard, scheming to destroy Jenny's powers, etc.along with his conceited arrogance, one can conclude here was a guy w/the criminal gene in him who had criminal tendencies from when he was young. Many times criminal lifestyles can be traced to genetics and imo,Barry's case is no exception. No doubt someone in his family lineage was a crook, too. In many cases a devastating life experience can set off the bad genes inside a person to start them on their criminal path.In Barry's case it was his high school breakup w/Jenny.Had this not occured, something else life devastating wouldve caused it[a death of a close family member, etc.]This leads me to believe at the end of the film,Bedlam has not truly reformed and had their been a sequel,no doubt some upset wouldve occured and he and Jenny would be at odds again.

70.Hannah is the lamest, poorest excuse for a super hero in cinematic history. She's the worst super hero or heroine imo, ever to appear on screen.Just a look at Anna Ferris's performance as a super heroine compared to Uma's performance explains it all!

reply

69.Uma Thurman + Luke Wilson - Anna Ferris + Rainn Wilson - Eddie Izzard - Wanda Sykes would = 1 great film!

reply

68.When Matt[Luke Wilson]confesses his love to Hannah it comes across, imo, very lame ,uninspired and forced. It's almost as if Luke himself didn't like the idea of them pairing him off w/Anna instead of Uma.I imagine this scene had to be rehearsed or filmed several times until Luke made it look just a little convincing,if that.I believe Luke was quoted in an interview that he had great difficulty filming the break-up scene w/Uma for obvious reasons. In fact,it'd be hard for any full blooded all American male to break off w/Uma Thurman!

Here are some more, against:

66) As a whole, the movie pretty much ran out of funny moments after the chainsaw scene, which was the only truly funny moment, outside of the in-flight sex act, in my opinion. After that point, it was more annoying than entertaining, and had the potential to leave at least some viewers unfulfilled.

65) Matt (Luke Wilson) seemed too apologetic towards Jenny/G-Girl (Uma Thurman), even though he really did not do anything wrong to her - the breakup occurred because he did not feel the same way about her as she did about him. The fact that he did nothing wrong to Jenny/G-Girl pretty much ruined the entire concept of the movie, as it purposely made the main character irrational.

64) A simple rule for all involved before signing on for a movie: be sure to read the script first before signing on the dotted line and collecting one's pay. This also goes for anyone agreeing to direct the movie - per the screenplay. One would ask whether this was done for this movie, given the poor quality of the screenplay.

63) The movie was a mistake for Wanda Sykes. Not only was she not very funny or in the movie for all that long, her portrayal of the Carla Dunkirk character may have accidentally given some male viewers a reason to dislike women in authority and/or with power (as if one of these ( the Jenny Johnson/G-Girl character) wasn't enough for this picture).

62) Jenny/G-Girl really needed a lesson in self-control and proper conduct; (e.g., labeling someone she hardly knew (Hannah - Anna Faris) a slut or a whore just doesn't cut it - and, as a whole, it drains the overall entertainment value of the movie).

61) At least the movie wasn't a total loss. Many times, very bad movies do yield very good soundtracks. This movie is one such case.

60) Some questions were left unanswered in this movie (their importance may not have been all that much, but they're worth mentioning) - these follow:

59) Where exactly were Jenny/G-Girl's psychosis/neurosis/neediness/jealousy fits coming from? (For one take on this, see my post "G-Girl Revealed and Suspicions Confirmed").

58) When Jenny/G-Girl decided to humiliate Matt during his presentation by stripping him naked with a tornado (which caused him to get fired) - was everybody else in the room completely clueless (i.e., were they all too blind to determine that the event that occurred, and its end result was due to forces beyond Matt's control)? It's just not plausible, even for fiction.

57) Did Matt land a job elsewhere? In a sequel idea (now long gone from this site), he went into business for himself as an architectual designer, built an art gallery for Jenny as his first project, and saved his former company from bankruptcy.

56) Why was there no comeuppance for Jenny/G-Girl, as, outside of bringing Matt's car down from space (she had a lot more than that to answer for), she really did not offer much of an apology to Matt for her behavior towards him(save the half-hearted one she blurted out when Matt showed up at the art gallery with flowers - all in the interest of luring her out to Professor Bedlam (Eddie Izzard)?

55) How did Vaughn (Rainn Wilson) manage to get the attention of someone who wanted absolutely nothing to do with him (the female bartender) until he revealed that he "was with" the two super females (Jenny and Hannah) who were dueling in the sky? One could suspect that Vaughn may have gotten some residual energy from the meteor as it exploded, and allowed him to get the attention of any woman he wanted (just by looking at her, perhaps) - and then, grant that woman an experience that is, well, "super sexual."

reply

54.Another unanswered question concerning the movie-I mentioned this before, but I won't elaborate as much-Why isn't Bedlam arrested for his past crimes?
53.We never learn the final outcome of Bedlam's henchmen-Vaughn knocks one unconscious during the scuffle on Matt's roof. The other goon supposedly gets badly hurt or killed when the van is tossed in the air,but we never learn if he really died or if either one went to jail.
52.Mentioning the scuffle on Matt's roof there's another hole in the story-Bedlam appears to be doublecrossing Matt after Jenny loses her powers. He seems to be going back on his promise to retire and only used Matt to destroy Jenny's powers. The henchman pulls a gun on Matt to keep him from interfering when Vaughn knocks him out w/the box lid.Matt then gets into a scuffle w/Barry.But strangely once Hannah falls thru the skylight they appear to give up their fight for no apparent reason at that point.
51.There is definitely a plot gap between the scene in Bedlam's lab w/him experimenting w/Jenny's hair and Jenny surprising Matt and Hannah at the worksite in New Jersey.A few scenes earlier,Matt seemed quite happy w/Jenny-he knew her secret and they had a fun joyride in the sky.But when Jenny shows up in N.J.to surprise Matt,he appears quite taken aback by her showing up and telling him she called his office to learn his whereabouts.Perhaps Matt was just embarrased over Hannah removing the splinter from his thumb or was he starting to have 2nd thoughts about Jenny and wanted to get away so he didn't tell her about having to go to N.J.Perhaps the script would explain this better.Imo,this scene appears to take place about a week or so after Matt and Jenny's joyride as it gave Matt time to start doing some thinking about their relationship.I also get the feeling from this scene that Matt has been staying close to the job site for awhile probably at a hotel and thought this would give him a little break to think things over.
50.Matt and Jenny had better chemistry together than Matt and Hannah.
49.Hannah and her boyfriend Steve had great chemistry together, the only guy she had chemistry with.
48.Bedlam had no chemistry w/anyone except for his laboratory.lol.

reply

47. That quite a few people on the IMDB board need to lighten up.... This was a funny movie in it's own way.
48. That Bedlam was somehow able to get a chunk of G-Girls hair yet it couldn't be cut with a diamond tipped sawzall...

reply

45.Bedlam obtained the chunk of hair when he snuck into Jenny's apt.and removed it from her brush.
44.Matt[Luke Wilson]appears to have gotten his hair cut during filming.Compare his scenes in Hannah's office putting files away where his hair is longer and the scene in Bedlam's house where his hair is shorter. From what I've read over the years, this generally isn't approved of in movie making,as producers don't like to see noticeable changes in actor's appearances in the film.
43.Though Matt claims it's Hannah he really loves, there is no distinction made in the film between the fun he has spending time w/Jenny and his scenes w/Hannah.I know I expressed my opinion in other posts that I like seeing Matt and Jenny together over seeing Matt w/Hannah as I thought Matt and Jenny had better chemistry together, but it really stands out in Matt's scenes w/Jenny that he's having the time of his life w/her.If the producers really wanted to convince those who watched this film that Matt was more happier w/Hannah,they surely weren't very convincing of that. There are those few office scenes where Matt's eyeing up Hannah's butt, etc.but I consider those minor flirtations. Also Matt has only a few romantic scenes w/Hannah as compared to his scenes w/Jenny and his scenes w/Hannah lack the charm of his scenes w/Jenny.This is definitely one of the film's major faults which no doubt lent to it's comparitively poor box office performance.

reply

42.SPOILER ALERT!If any other actress had played Jenny/G-Girl otheer than Uma in this film, the pairing of Matt and Hannah at the end mightve worked and even myself.long an opponent of the Hannah/Matt matchup, might have accepted it.But when you have Uma Thurman who imo is the sex goddess of Hollywood,as the main character, there's just no way her losing out to Anna Ferris can be accepted. And as I said before and other posters have commented,it's far beyond believable even in a comedy film that Uma would take up w/Eddie Izzard, esp.when he's her arch enemy in the film.
41.I may be wrong about this, but the main premise of the film was how a regular guy,Matt Saunders dumps his Superhero girlfriend,Jenny Johnson/G-Girl due to her neediness. In looking at this film a little closer the neediness and negative parts of her personality in my observation, don't really show up until the scene at the restaurant w/Hannah and The window breaking scene in the car. There's very little signs of neediness, etc.shown before that scene. As Matt said something seemed a little off about her,but that was just her trying to keep her G-Girl identity a secret. This is another flaw in the film as the producers don't really show very many negative traits of her personality before the restaurant scene.
40.In the restaurant scene,Jenny seems more like a victim of circumstance than anything else. There's a lot of what if questions here. What if Hannah's boyfriend Steve had showed up for at the restaurant? What if there had been no missile crisis forcing Jenny to become G-Girl leaving Matt and Hannah alone together? The date mightve went on w/o any problems and Steve and Hannah mightve remained a couple or Matt's infatuation w/Hannah mightve showed up later. One can see Jenny sees the Matt/Hannah thing on the horizon and is trying to avoid the issue by acting like nothing's going on and still wanting to order her dinner. It seems like everything was closing in on Jenny at once, which ultimitaly led to her frustration and losing it in the car.
39.Even though there's no excuse for her treatment of Matt after the breakup, stealing his car, etc.one can feel her pain as she returns to the restaurant after dealing w/the missile crisis, seeing the man she loves hugging another girl in a romantic way. Here's a guy she thought was the one,who she confided in him her most precious secret, finding pleasure w/someone else.No doubt she felt a sense of betrayal.Perhaps Matt didn't realize the emotional damage he caused.

reply

Hello again. Here's more, per a mixed bag:

38. Regardless of the movie (My Super Ex Girlfriend or otherwise), no two viewers will react in the same fashion. As such, it is a very bad idea for any person posting to this or any other IMDB message board to be judgemental of another (e.g., "some people on this message board need to lighten up"). Reactions to movies are different - let's deal with it, on this and other message boards - following my example and that of pokey867-1 might help - we're polar opposites where this movie is concerned, but we do not disparage one another's positions.

37. No one must have cared that Professor Bedlam had escaped from prison, since he appeared to be able to move about the masses freely, even though it was in the newspapers that he was being sought by the authorities.

36. It was probably a good thing that the movie did not have a female director - that would have opened up another can of worms altogether, possibly landing that director in hot water with at least some male viewers.

35. The movie opened the door to explore many things in a sequel or prequel, such as the following:

34. In a prequel, additional background on Jenny could be discovered, perhaps confirming that her personality before exposure to the meteor and afterwards were on two different poles (i.e., she had the capacity to successfully all of the issues that she had from being an outcast prior to the meteor event; however, after this event, this capacity could have been diminished from the energy of the meteor, allowing her to address the issues in sometimes unhealthy ways). At the same time, the pasts of Matt, Hannah, Barry, Carla, and Vaughn could also be examined.

33. In a sequel, Hannah could be the focus, as she learns how to best use her super powers. It is assumed that she probably did not have the same issues as Jenny/G-Girl did, and was thus, better equipped to handle the powers.

32. Another sequel idea: a betrayal from Professor Bedlam - he sets Jenny/G-Girl up so that she falls from favor in New York City.

31. Lastly, a sequel where Jenny/G-Girl faces the long-suppressed issues: here, her bad side (G-Girl gone worse) tries to do away with her good side, and the "good" Jenny (what's left of her original being/conscience prior to exposure to the meteor must do battle with her "bad" G-Girl persona (the one that wants nothing to do with who she used to be).

30. Some good actually came Jenny/G-Girl's way in the movie - she finally got the help she was looking for - from Hannah. Perhaps that could pave the way for the two of them to be friends.

reply

29.Dan thanks so much again for the respect you've always showed me regarding our opposite opinions of this film.As you said were not here to judge each other. All judgements,as far as this mb goes should be saved for the film.
28.Like you mentioned Bedlam mustve had clout w/the police the way he moved about freely w/o being captured.Mentioning that there is still the question concerning the deleted scene from the dvd of him electrocuting the guard in jail.Where was that scene originally meant to be placed in the film?My guess it's somewhere between Matt and Jenny's 1st date and their 1st sexual encounter so he could be back in his hideout to spy on them.
27.I could definitely see Barry doublecrossing Jenny in a film sequel. As I said in another post judging his character and personality, this was definitely a guy w/criminal genes brought about no doubt by his high school breakup w/Jenny.There's no way this super villain becomes Mr.Nice Guy overnight because Matt made him think he loved Jenny!
26.SPOILER ALERT!Movie producers sadly have a pattern of not having Uma get the leading man in the end. This happened in this film[an ending I strongly detest!]The Truth About Cats and Dogs[a kinda corny ending]and Prime[a worser ending than Super Ex as the whole plot line is left hanging at the end!]If I was Uma being the sex goddess she is I would demand to win the leading man in the end or there's no deal!
25.This film has more holes in it than the 4,000 holes in Blackburn,Lancashire mentioned in The Beatles song A Day In The Life!
24.Matt himself has a bit of wishy washness to him.He seems to be having the time of his life w/jenny than once a semi-serious mishap between him and Jenny takes place[the car window breaking scene]he decides he doesn't love her and wants to break up w/her.Perhaps if him and Hannah have a misunderstanding down the line,he'll want to split w/her as well.In short Matt appears to be the kind of boyfriend w/the attitude one mistake and you're gone!
23.The 1st part of this film has imo a very feel good upbeat feel to it as we see Matt and Jenny get established in their relationship while the rest of the film from the breakup on seems to have a dark, dismal, depressing mood to it,almost like all the fun is done and the best of the film was behind it[which imo it was].

reply

22.The producer, director and screenwriter all succeeded in creating one of the worst movie endings in Hollywood history!
21.I have never been more disatisfied with a movie ending than this one.

20.If you're dating Uma Thurman and things don't go well, you can turn to Anna Ferris.
19.If you're dating Luke Wilson and things don't go well, you can start dating Eddie Izzard???Hmmm...What's wrong with this picture?

reply

Hello, it's me again. I have a few more to add, mostly positive:

18. The chainsaw scene was probably the funniest part of the movie for two reasons: a) knowing Jenny/G-Girl as a superhero, she wouldn't need a chainsaw to do in anyone who would betray her; and b) because of "a," and the promise that she told Matt to keep (i.e., rather having a chainsaw shoved up his butt than reveal Jenny's being G-Girl - that "possibility" is most outlandish in and of itself) - it was hilarious to see her actually show up with a chainsaw when he spills the secret to Vaughn (albeit in a dream sequence).

17. Tapping someone in the butt with one's foot is a weird way to flirt.

16. The rooftop scene where Jenny/G-Girl is stripped of her powers brought most of the major players in the movie together at the same time (save one, for the obvious reason - she didn't fit).

15. Even if one plays a role extremely well (as Uma Thurman did here, playing the crazy, super-powered ex-girlfriend exacting revenge), it won't be nearly enough when conveyed via a screenplay that is uneven and incomplete.

14. Yes, it is possible for a person who did not like "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" to say a few things positive about it.

reply

Hi Dan glad to hear from you again. Here's some more points I'd like to share
13.When the main characters of the film are on the roof together, since they mostly seem to be at odds w/each other, except for Matt and Vaughn, you could cut thru the tension with a knife!
12.This movie will not age well.Had it not been for the top stars involved,it wouldve quietly slipped into the b movie category into obscurity. With the gags not being that funny, being more sadistic violence than humor and with the dismal ending, plot holes, etc.it'll be looked at as a good concept that suffered poorly when put into execution.Years from now I'd be willing to bet that Luke and Uma will be happy to forget about this movie.

This has to be the most moronic post in this thread. Carla is a manager or executive for the company. Her job is to protect the company and it's bottom line. Work is not the dating game. When a employee receives unwelcome attention of a romantic nature from a co-worker they find unattractive or become involved in a relationship with one and it ends badly, who are they going to sue? It's not going to be their co-worker whose likely living paycheck to pay check, like them. It's going to be their employer. Guaranteed.

It's something I heartily approve of them doing. For the last twenty five years businesses have been going full out figuring out new ways to screw over their employees. So when the game show host calls you down to spin the wheel and see how much you'll win playing Workplace Unwelcome Sexual Advance Grievance Lawsuit, you go for it unreservedly.

Only a fúçkïng moron would decide that because she does her job correctly and competently, that makes Carla a stick in the mud. The only 'stick' in play here is firmly wedged up pokey867-1's àss, along with his (most likely) or her head.

8. As for the writer of this movie (Don Payne): success with writing for a raunchy animated comedy (The Simpsons) does not necessarily translate into success with writing a movie screenplay. Ivan Reitman really should have checked Don Payne's overall credentials before deciding to direct "My Super Ex-Girlfriend." Oh well, at least Mr. Payne was more successful with a straight superhero movie - The Fantastic Four. Uma Thurman has had similar success (see #7 below).

7. Uma Thurman was more successful playing the hero (or villain) straight (e.g., the Kill Bill Movies, the Avengers). She should just keep going with this formula in case she does movies of that sort in the future.

6. In my opinion, "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" could qualify as one of the most divisive movies ever directed by Ivan Reitman, according the the mix of posts provided here for and against the movie.

Okay, there are five points left. Anyone may feel free to finish this.

reply

Dan thanks again for your input.I agree with the divisiveness this movie caused as far as personal opinion is concerned. One Ivan Reitman that comes to mind is Ghostbusters, not an all time fav of mine, but most people who've seen it will agree it was an overall good film. Now I shall take the honor of finishing the final 5 points of this post. Please forgive me if I get a little long winded,I'm just trying to make my points.
5.Not only is this film a divisive movie opinion wise, the movie itself is a vehicle of divisiveness among most of the main characters.Even the title-My Super Ex-Girlfriend implies divisiveness indicating a split in a relationship has taken place. The divisiveness/emnities between the characters are fully illustrated with the frictions between Jenny and Barry being enemies since high school,Jenny and Matt in their post breakup/pre ending state,Bedlam and Matt in the interrogation/Statue of Liberty sequence and the fight at the end over the rock,Jenny and Hannah's fight over Matt and Wanda Sykes at odds with all the workers. The only true warm relationships are Matt and Vaughn,Jenny and Matt before she broke his car window in a jealous rage and Matt and Hannah.Perhaps the divisiveness between the characters carried over into the divisiveness over the quality of the film.
4.Another plot hole I discovered watching this film again is the scene when Bedlam visits Matt to discuss taking Jenny/G-Girl down.I don't recall any scene in the film where Barry learns of Matt and Jenny's breakup.Though Barry earlier in the film looked down on Matt from an intelligence point of view,if Matt and Jenny had still been together he surely wouldve known Matt wouldn't have been suckered in to his wicked scheme.{Which Jenny instantly forgave him for!]
3.The teenage Barry looks nothing like his adult counterpart. The teenage Barry had a more boyish charm to his personality nothing like the arrogance of the adult Barry.
2.The emnity between Jenny and Barry can be compared to Superboy and Luthor becoming enemies in the original Superboy comic books.Superboy and Luthor were boyhood friends-Luthor saved Superboy from a kryptonite meteor and Superboy repaid him by building the red curly haired boy scientist his own laboratory. While working on a kryptonite antidote,Luthor knocked over a chemical flask causing a fire w/smoke fumes and radiation.Superboy arrives in time to save Luthor by extinguishing the blaze with his super breath, but in doing so he destroys all of Luthor's experiments and the fumes cause Luthor's hair to fall out making him the bald villain everyone came to know.Luthor in a twisted state of rage instantly turns on Superboy accusing him of deliberately destroying his experiments so Luthor couldn't become more popular than him.Later in the story Luthor tries to get Superboy in a kryptonite trap, but the Boy of Steel escapes. In the same way Jenny and Matt are friends/high school sweethearts until
Jenny encounters the meteorite which gives her her superpowers launching her career as G-Girl.According to Jenny,Barry then quit talking to her, drifted away from her and then ignored her completely[I assume were meant to think he had trouble dealing with a super powered girlfriend.]According to Barry Jenny became big headed after becoming G-Girl and more or less dumped Barry. This event caused Barry to become the evil mastermind known as prof.Bedlam.In both cases Luthor and Barry turned to evil due to upsetting events as teenagers,Luthor becoming a master criminal scientist after losing his experiments and hair in an accident he blamed on Superboy and Bedlam turning evil after his rejection by Jenny. These could be 2 cases where both characters have bad genes that get set off by a life changing event.Ironically both events involved radiation!
1.SPOILERS ALERT!Finally,I know I've mentioned this in many posts over the last few years but Matt and Jenny DEFINITELY made a great couple and shouldve reunited in the end.Uma and Luke had fantastic on screen chemistry while Matt and Anna ferris' chemistry was like a kids science experiment that didn't work. And Uma and Eddie Izzard is a waste to even think about.Despite his statement that he didn't really love her,Matt couldn't hide the fact that he was having the time of his life w/Jenny and there were signs of love that came out here and there. In a sequel we'll probably never see Matt and Jenny could reunite again both realizing that they really did love each other. One idea I recently had concerns the scene where Matt wakes up after his nightmare of Jenny chasing him w/the chainsaw. He has this dream the night he breaks up w/Jenny.Perhaps in a scene similar to what happened with Bobby Ewing from Dallas, perhaps the sequel would show him waking up from a dream in which the breakup, etc.just turned out to be a nightmare. As he wakes up he sees Jenny in bed beside him telling her about the dream and clutches her for dear life confessing he loves her and he's glad none of those events ever happened. This would mean that all the events from the car scene on could be interpreted as a dream just like Bobby's death on Dallas was a bad dream Pam had, thereby making a whole season's worth of shows a dream. In short I'd like to take this opportunity to declare somewhere in movie land Jenny and Matt are back together. So let it be MATT AND JENNY TOGETHER FOREVER!MATT AND HANNAH NEVER!JENNY AND BEDLAM[EEECH!]NEVER!May Matt and Jenny live happily ever after in movie land forever!
