Not the easiest plot to follow.......

Not the easiest plot to follow. After watching it on DVD the first time, I had to read the Storyline to clarify some details. You don't get much time to read Arthur's message scrawled on the hotel wall either. However, I noticed visual details that I missed the first time round such as the book illustration he finds in Arthur's loft of the horses on the hilltop. This is why he stops off on the journey back from Westchester. This is what saves his life.

Michael Clayton has to do some quick thinking when he returns to the blazing car, such as throwing in his watch, etc., to give the impression he had not survived the blast. There's some tricky plotting involved in this movie. But it's worth the effort.

I also missed the three horses in Arthur's book. But you have to wonder how often three gorgeous wild horses appear out of the blue in the deep dark outback called the Hudson Valley :)

Yep, the plot is just so incomprehensible in my opinion, for the most part i had no clue what was going on, it was so tightly written and intricate, it was really hard to follow.

Those first 40 minutes make sense when you re-watch the movie.
