Tim Burton homage anyone?
I don't know bout the rest of you lot, but the first thing that came to mind when I watched this is how close ie indistinguishable the animation style was to Burton's stop motion masterpieces The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride. So was it stop motion ,or was there an intentional homage to that art form? I f so I thought it displayed a limited animation scope that was neither classy nor appropriate. The story was a good one, but the inclusion of such characters as Steve Buscemi as the immortal rabbit and Brian the brain smacked of simple jarring humour that in my personal experience, didn't even have the kids laughing, not to mention the adults. Don't know what the point of it was, mildly interesting parody of the frankenstein story with a bit of Annie thrown in for good measure.Put it this way; I won't be asking for my money back but I couldn't care less if I ever saw it again.
