Eddie Izzard...

... may be the only reason I go see this film.

reply

Amen.

reply

I'm so glad I'm not the only one..

reply

Well, him and John Cleese.

reply

I second the Colonel....

but Eddie Izzard is definitely the main attraction, glad to find you're not alone :P

reply

I was planning on seeing it with my roomie anyway, but Eddie Izzard is the icing on the cake. So far I've shown her two of his stand up shows (Circle and Dress to Kill) and she really likes them, so that is a good sign. Oh, and John Clesse rocks too.

reply

My girlfriend is taking me to see it...

I think it'll be really good. I definitely love the cast.

reply

ohhhh my i just love John Clesse and Eddie Izzard

reply

I was going to skip this one until I heard Eddie Izzard was going to be in it! I love his work :)

reply

Same here--and John Cleese. They're the best :)

What's wrong with Cusack and Buscemi?

reply

No, they were good, too! Scamper (Buschemi) had some of the funniest lines in the whole movie!

Valerie: You Think It will work?
Max: It'll take a Miracle!

reply

Eddie is always fun to watch. They wasted him by not using him enough in My Super Ex Girlfriend and Ocean's Twelve.

reply

Yeah, Eddie Izzard and John Cleese may be the only reasons I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD.

reply

yes yes yes yes yes! i can't wait to see the movie, even if the rest of the film is terrible (which i can't tell from the reviews?). i didn't know Eddie was a voice in Prince Caspian when i saw it, and i almost fell out of my seat laughing. him as a mouse with a sword and a feather was worth a 7 dollar ticket a hundred times over. priceless!

reply

Agreed! His lines in the movie made me rofl!

There is no one quite like him.

Agreed!

reply

I agree! Eddie Izzard's character, Dr. Schadenfreude, was my all time favorite character in this whole movie!

Max: Good Luck Storming the Castle!
Valerie: You Think It will work?
Max: It'll take a Miracle!

reply

I fall asleep during his stand-ups.
He was awesome in Across the Universe though.

If he's just playing an Englishman and not pulling out his painfully bad American accent, he'll be just about tolerable. I have to emphatically agree with BlueInk though, Izzard's stand-up is desperately unfunny. But yes, on a positive note, I'll watch almost anything John Cleese is in ^_^.

I'm a HUGE Izzard fan, but for some reason, everything he's in that he hasn't written himself, usually suck. Igor was an ok movie, but bears the trademark of everything else Izzard has been in that he hasn't written himself, it's just plain mediocre.
