other movie connections/reference s??? SPOILERS!

this was a really cool film :) i REALLY like Reece and even just his face makes me laugh :)

I was just wondering what movie references ya'll noticed?

Some things i think i spotted are:

A shot of a cut off hand looked really like the Wickerman candle in the bedroon scene.(cant remember whos hand it was!)

When the big Disfigured farmer rips open the fat guys shirt it was like Buffalo Bill does- Silence of the lambs.

The people in the village (inc Pinhead actor)-Wickerman/league of gentlemen.

The whole disfigured farmer thing- Texas chainsaw massacre

Erm, those are just some. there were loads more tho :)

Also when the farmer hangs Reece's character on the hook just like texas chainsaw massacre
Have to agree though peter was hilarious especially in any scene involving a moth!

yeh, i was thinking hills have eyes too. there were loads when i was watching it and now i cant think of them! il have to see it again!

I also saw that the 2 chinese ASSASSINS were in a SHOGUN car. Coinsidence i think not.

Also when the guy steps on the animal trap.

Similar to Severance when the trap keeps closing up on his leg.

The Hellraiser bloke's dog was called 'Thorn' as in The Omen...

psycho - starts off as crime then completely changes to a completely diff genre ?? or for that matter from dusk till dawn which was 2 brothers that kidnapped a woman which led onto a diff genre aswell

deliverance - 4 main characters out in wilderness

fargo - scene in the car driving to the phone box, reminded me of the scene where grimsrud chases down the car the passes them after they killed the policeman

Evil Dead 3 : Army of Darkness - When the farmer tries to kick in the door with Peter screaming on the other side (same as the windmill scene with Ash)

The Goonies - when Peter sees the farmer for the first time and they both scream (when that kid (forgot his name!) meets Superman)

Evil Aliens (only on the cottage trailer) - 'trespassers will be' sign

David reading the diary in the Shed out loud was a reference to lord of the rings, Gandalf reading the diary of the dwarves in Moria
