Really excellent film

I absolutely love this film. The script is superb and the 2 lead actors really nail it with their performances. Reece Shearsmith is excellent as the down-trodden, neurotic brother and Serkis is magnificent as the other brother desperately trying to keep things together.

The humour in the film is very "british" so I'm not sure how well the film will travel but every time I watch it I laugh as though it's the first time I'm seeing it.

There's nothing very sophisticated about the film but then it's a very simple story thats just excellently written and acted.

If you have a good sense of humour and you like horror flicks too then this is a MUST SEE film.

I'd really like the writer & director to keep on producing this standard of work, it's fantastic!!

Agreed. I loved it. USA here and I got the humor just fine. lost of nods to the horror genre for fans. How about when the farmer holds up the head/spine and screams...remind you of anyone? Gret stuff. Keep your eyes open for "pinhead" from the "hellraiser" series.
8/10

No it really isn't by all measurable standards a "really excellent film". It's an ok film at best.

I do have a sense of humour, I do like a good horror flick and I was born to an English family and spent my youth over there (not there anymore) and I thought this movie was really tedious. But then, my English friend keeps giving me these discs of English horror movies and I haven't found one yet that I liked. Whoops! Tell a lie - I did like Black Death. Of my own accord I did see 28 Day Later (liked) and Shaun of the Dead (amusing enough).

If you know your own mind, what is real and what is not, then do as you see fit.

American here as well and the movie to me was funny as *beep*. Alll four of the main characters are just great. Peter, Andrew and Tracy are all so funny and Andy Serkis is great as usual.

Cool.

This movie had a few dandy macabre twists in it. I loved how the situation just keep getting increasingly worse for both David and Peter.
