Very intelligent show with great acting

The second season was a little lacking but still not bad. It had enormous shoes to fill after the first season. The main flaw was Ilija. He had a terrible accent and his return to his country made no sense. That's the one place people knew his name and knew what he did. He could have easily let Carlie live, she would have not reported him because she clearly hates authoritarian government enough to put her money where her mouth is and secondly had he left without telling her where's he's going she would have had no idea. She was no threat at all. He was already choosing getting caught or identified by going with Farik. The CIA knew where he was and probably knew Ilija was with him.

Ilija killing her made him a sociopath devoid of any potential sympathy, someone impossible to relate to and who you can only resent and hate. Yet they still tried to portray his humanity as writers. It was just a distraction. Great and awesome show. Had a lot to make you think about it.
