does this show remind you of call red
I dont know if this is just me or does this show scream remake of a bad show which was called call red (1996) I even think they have used the same set as the landing pad.
shareYes it does! However, unlike Call Red, this show is based around the real Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) based in London to the extent of using the actual helicopter! Can't comment on the sets though.
Don't think it is anything like as poor as Call Red either!

I think Call Red was set in Southampton, whereas this one's in London.
I remember enjoying Call Red - it was better than this slow, boring twaddle too.
There is another similarity - both have a handsome irishman in the team who had previously played Scotsman (Seamus Gubbins was in Call Red - for those of you in Scotland, he was the guy in the 'Caledonia' TV advert for Tennents in 94/95, and Ciaran McMenamin was in 'The Young Persons Guide to Becoming a Rock Star' in about 1998) and a kind of attractive but not stunning female lead (Allie Byrne in Call Red, Zoe Telford in Golden Hour)
