confused - UK or US

When I search for Cash Cab, I get two results. They are both TV shows from 2005 and have the same concept, but this one says the country is the UK, and the other takes place in NY. So how come the people on this board are talking about New York City and money in dollars? Am I missing something? Also, which show came first? Is one based on the other, or did they start at the same time? This board is more active than the other, that's why I'm asking here, even though the show I watch takes place in NY and airs on the Discovery Channel.

Some people don't bother checking the details before gunning straight for the message boards.

Have you ever noticed how many people ask questions that are answered in the trivia section. Happens all over the place.

There are two cash cabs...one in England and one in the United States. They of course are hosted by different people. Hope this helps. Just found this site, so the answer is a bit late.

I got here from confusion myself. This is the UK Cash Cab site and I screwed up with my own reply on an inquiry, but they were on the wrong site too. lol I am in the USA watching our version & now wishing they'd air the UK show as well. It's listed as Cash Cab1 and Cash Cab2(in Roman numerals) Apparently it started in the UK. Had I not got lost trying to locate the show, I'd have not known about the UK version. I hope they air it here & soon.
