Funny how the technology used dates this

Old cell phones.
Laptops used instead of smart phones.
A remote controlled helicopter instead of a drone.

They compensate that by having an upper dupper HD traffic camera

Some people prefer a laptop to a smart phone. I have both. I use both. But for serious computer work I'm going to use the laptop. A smart phone's screen is too small; I have to scroll around to find things.
A virtual keyboard is not a quick to use and you often have to pull it up while a laptops always there.

A smartphone does have advantages. Its smaller and easier to carry around and conceal.

I have no issues with people using smartphones as computers. People should use what they like. But just using a laptop doesn't date things.

Okay, maybe a tablet or something more mobile. Some scenes they're popping open laptops in public and it seems like they're encumbered by carting these laptops around.

My laptop has now become my desktop (hooked up via hdmi cable to my 43 inch tv). I carry my ipad with me in public. Much better, got tired of the laptops weight and frying my crotch.

To each their own. I have two tablets. I almost never use them.
