Not Scary, But Not Its Fault...

First, let me say that this was a VERY well done movie! The writing, the acting, the way it was shot, it was a nearly perfect film.

That said...I'm sorry, but there was nothing unique about it.

It's definitely a genre film, & there's nothing wrong with that. But it's too much of a genre film. If you've ever seen a home invasion film, even an awful one, you've essentially already seen this one. There was nothing to set this apart from the rest, other than the overall high quality of the film itself.

This was a horrible movie. The great writing in the film consists of "Look! What happened? Open the door! Hurry! Clem! Move it!Quick!"

The MAN is weak. And they are both stupid. No one grabs a knife from the kitchen? And he leaves his weapon and runs like a bitch after he's injured??

And her inability to get out of a CHILD holding her down?? Puh leese.

How old are you that you think this was good? You need to see more movies

Here's a unique concept: People can like whatever movies they want. The original poster thought the film was good and there's nothing wrong with that.

While the movie was definitely frustrating at times (the couple were so loud while trying to run away, he dropped a weapon seriously??), I still liked the movie. The atmosphere is creepy and unsettling the entire time and the actors do a good job of emoting. The ending genuinely made me cringe because I felt so much for the main character.
