Too Claustrophobic and Symbolic

I was hoping to see my historical backdrop amidst the touching people-driven story. Although a strong respresentation of how life on an immigrant ship would be; a bit too claustrophobic for me.

Also, they over did the Milk River scenes.

For my part, I really enjoyed the allegoric scenes that represented what people expected (over expected).

That's touching.

I liked that it was grim, gritty and not overwhelmingly romantic in the immigrant experience. Was waiting for the Big Scene where they see Statue of Liberty and everyone cries and hugs and life is now perfect; I thought the fog was a very nice touch.

I agree completely. The typical scene of entering the harbor and everybody seeing the statue would have been less effective. I liked the fog much better. It conveyed the mystery that still was ahead.

So many losers, SO MANY expectations. So many half - a rs ed non sensical "at best I am nowhere near a psuedo-intellectual"'s using inane terms like claustrophobic. Yes, it would have been claustrophobic on that boat. ?????????
And yeah 2 times, wow, heavy. Equally the best exit to closing credits EVER. Extremely beautiful.
