**SPOILER** Seriously? A keyhole?

When William Williams (Chris Klein) discovers Tweedy (Hugh Grant) and his girlfriend Sally (Mandy Moore) having sex ... he sees them from the hallway, by looking through the keyhole in her dressing room door.

Seriously? Through a keyhole?!?!? When's the last time they even manufactured a door lock that you could "see through" like that? The late 1800's, maybe? Regardless of the exact year, they stopped making that sort of lock/keyhole decades before they built pretty much ANY tv studio dressing room, and--even if they were VERY old dressing rooms--they would have long-since changed out any of those old skeleton key locks that inspired that ancient (and obviously well-loved) cinema trope.

So, some writer--who, amusingly, was probably born well after they stopped making "see through" keyholes--thought it was a brilliant idea to have him "peek through a keyhole" to catch them ... without any realization that we lost the ability to peek through keyholes about 100 years ago.

Can you say "Narrative Convenience"?

Well, maybe those were old doors so they could see thru them.
