Damp Squib

Lucy Cohu almost single handedly rescues this drama with a superb performance as Princess Margaret.

Alas the rest of The Queens Sister was complete dross. The script appeared to have been written by an over zealous cub reporter from the Guardian. If there was not one shot of Ken Drury's Willie Hamilton muttering darkly into his television set about wasteful royals then there were two. Likewise there were endless shots of Joe Public huddled around their tv's or staring through rain streaked windows, whilst P.M. lapped up the sun on Mustique.

Even the much vaunted salaciousness amounted to nothing more than a girls snog in a nightclub and a couple of blink and you miss it shots of fumbling beneath the sheets.

overall this was a complete damp squib.
