I was induced to laugh tears by 'Chup Chup Ke'

I yesterday saw "Chup Chup Ke", and - wow - this is the second Hindi comedy that made me laugh tears. The first was "36 China Town". Now the score stands 2:1 for Hindi comedies because I remember only one Hollywood comedy to have induced me to laugh tears and that was "Barefoot in the Park (1967)".

For me Shahid is an exceptionally gifted comedian if he can work in a team with good actors, in my view a far better comedian than SRK. Shahid's capabilities remind me of Cary Grant in "Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)", but augmented by the naive charm and slapstick abilities of the young Charlie Chaplin.

So SRK is better in melodrama like death-wish desperation (compare SRK in "Asoka" with Shahid in "Fida" or "Jab We Met") or lover's madness (compare SRK in "Darr" or "Dil Se" with Shahid in "Fida"). But when we come to the ordinary lover boy stories I prefer the characterisations by Shahid, because his characters are far more likeable for me.

So for me the fifteen years younger Shahid is definitely the actor who could shine the next ten years in those romantic comedies that where SRK's domain. Moreover, Shahid's body control is better than SRK's (probably because of his dancing education). Thus in my view he is now Bollywood's best star dancer. Additionally he looks better than SRK in his thirties .
