Omaha Film Festival
Looks like Lenexa, 1 Mile got it's first film festival acceptance. Not bad for a movie that's still being finished.

I just came from seeing that! It was pretty interesting. I guess I was just disappointed Jason didn't come. lol.

shareSeeing as it was his first attempt at writing and directing...I don't think it was all bad.
shareI really wanted it to be good. I was an extra in it. The actors were great but I thought the story was lame. Maybe he should direct but let someone else write.
shareWhen I read the script I REALLY liked the story, but I think with all the stuff they shot and then later had to cut out of the film it really took away from the story. (For those who weren't at the movie and Q&A, the FIRST cut of the film was 3 hours and they had to cut an hour and a half)
I still think that we're going to see some great stories coming out of Jason once he gets comfortable. This was his first writing attempt as well as his directing debut.
Do you know if they are going to be doing a film festival anywhere around lenexa any time soon? I would really like to see it, no matter how bad or good it may be, meerly because of the fact that, a bunch of the places that they filmed in were every day places for me. :) Would be cool to see them incorperated in a movie.
