Really? They made a movie about hanging out in Lenexa? Lenexa, Kansas??? So, what they sit around doing nothing wishing they had something to do? Or they talk about the virtues of attending KU vs. K State? exciting. Wow, do these people understand there really isn't anything all that exciting in/about Lenexa?

shareHey, I am from Lenexa and at least we have the Lenexa BBQ (which has gained national attention) and the Chili Cookoff every year.. Oh, and don't forget the Spinach Festival. Why you ask? Because we're Lenexans.. And, probably because no one could think of anything else that we could be known for. LOL :>) (I personally think they were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they came up with the idea of spinach.) That's the good ole' suburbs for ya.
I sure would like to see this movie, I watched them make it right here in old town Lenexa. It was fun! Anyone know if there is a way to see this flick for real?
Yes anyone can see it on Oct. 25th its in the KC film fest, its showing at Screenland located downtown at 7 and 9.
shareLenexa is no different than any other suburb around the country. It's a suburb of Kansas City, a fairly large city. It's one of the more affluent parts of state, being in Johnson County, which is one of the wealthier counties in the entire country.
But really this comment is stupid. You can have a great movie set in the biggest city in China or even in Fargo, ND.

the comment that this film (or any film) would be dull because the setting of the story isn't some 'happening' tourist trap, shows a great deal of naivete, and an ignorance of both film and narrative. there are plenty of important events going on all around us...everywhere.
and, this small-budgeted movie is about 'more' than a city in kansas (as i was surprised to learn).
