This film is such a try-hard

Who else agrees?
It tries to be all intense and dramatic but it just falls completely flat exactly on those points especially and therefor feels completely stupid and ridiculous.

I'm only half an hour in and there is nothing in it for which I feel like continuing watching it... normally I never stop watching a film half way through but I think that this is going to be the exception.
